The Coachella lineup was announced today and EW.com says, “it’s about as hot as the sometimes triple-digit temperatures the Southern California festival is known for.”
However, according to my own scientifical research (checking my mini-feed on Facebook) a lot of people don’t seem to be too stoked.
Personally, I think it’s pretty good. I’m a huge fan of Miike Snow, Deadmau5, Yeasayer,Vampire Weekend, Corinne Bailey Rae, Spoon, and Jay-Z.
I’ve seen Wolfgang Gartner, Klever, and Rusko spin at Control Fridays in Hollywood and they get the crowd hyped for sure.
The xx, Fever Ray, LCD Soundsystem, Muse, MGMT, Major Lazer, and of course Thom Yorke are sure to please.
Also seeing Grace Jones and Sly and the Family Stone will be a rare experience for sure.
If I was in charge I would’ve tried to book Diplo, A-Trak, The Cool Kids, Treasure Fingers, and Kid Sister too. The Roots would’ve been awesome too, along with Mos Def and Talib Kweli.
But overall, this will be a great show. In short, I don’t know what all the dissent is about. You’d think they asked the Naked Brothers Band to headline.
Quit yer fussin’ kids!
